Origin - Game Jam - Beginners Circle Jam #3 - Theme: A different planet
A sort of action-platformer + turrets.. done in 2 weeks :O
Tutorial:
WASD - movement
1,2,3 skills:
1. Transform your arm into a canon (Uses 1 power)
2. Puts down a turret (Uses 2 power)
3. Consume the slimes and turn it into power
3. Heal

Really cool game! Played it on browser, to the point it became unplayable (around 22k points).
The art and animations are really good looking, the core gameplay is solid and fun to play, movement is really good, weapons feels good... A solid prototype which screams "Moooore, gimme more!"
My only complaint is that it's a bit on the easy side, spamming turrets is too effective, and the rocket arm, though a really good idea, feels a bit underwelming compared to them...
I join a screenshot where you can see that passed a certain point, power is basically infinite, and so are turrets ^_^'
TLDR : Really liked playing your game, even moving around and playing with the rocket arm is really satisfying, I just would have wished for more with more difficulty! :D
How you managed to get to 20k+ on the browser is beyond my comprehension...
Mine became unplayable by 3k .. lol, maybe cuz I didn't spawn enough turrets and it overloaded with enemies way earlier.. those powers actually have a timer that despawns, after 10 seconds, but at last minute change + adding new enemies and early level introduction, couldn't fine tune properly.. tested played it about 3 times and felt that the powers weren't dropping quite frequent enough..
ended up raising drop chance % and extending despawn period. Seemed to work fine for the first few levels, but not at "late game" haha
I'm definitely going to continue developing it until is good enough to have a proper "release".
Though the direction of were this is going, is still unclear.. just like when I started this jam, it ended up way different than I initially have thought and planned.

Pretty nice game! I like the art and animation, and the gameplay is nice too. I made it to 15k points, but the game become laggy after level 20
WOW!! 15k! .. lol even I haven't gone that far.. :O
I only played seriously in the browser, and yes, made it to about 3k before it became unplayable... and thought that was the limit

Really nice game, the art is specially good!
I made 7763 points! In the browser it was impossible to play beyond 3500, the fps dropped to 20 or less, caused by the number of enemies on the scene.
At some point there isn't a spot for you, there are so many enemies, that you are always losing life!
It would be nice If you could play mine and leave a feedback also.
In the PC version, from the 20th wave on, the fps dropped to 3 or 4, there are too many items on screen. I think more than just enemies are the energy items.
Got a max of 27k points max.
Impressive! if you hadn't commented, I wouldn't have known that it was possible to play beyond 3k.
I only played seriously myself in the browser, and by 3k points the screen was fully loaded with enemies and laggy as hell.

It took me a while to understand the energy mechanic but I thought the animations were smooth and the gameplay was interesting.
